Excavator bucket pin dimensions vary between excavator make and models. This makes it complex to build or fix a mount for an excavator.

Most excavators have a double pin configuration with two round pins. The measurements that are needed (shows below) to build a mounting bracket is the pin diameters (C & D), dipper/stick width (A & B) and center to center (E).

    1. Hi Joe, it looks like the CAT 301 is going to have a narrower stick than the PC15 so I don’t think that the PC15 will fit in between the bosses on a bucket built for a CAT 301.
      Hope this helps!

    1. Hi William,
I am not 100% sure, but I would think that they are the same as a 385 which has 130mm pins, 651mm stick width and 675mm centers. I would double check everything though to be sure.
      Hope that helps!

    1. Hi Jared, a Hitachi ZX220 bucket on 80mm pins should fit a 160LX as it has 80mm pins and a slightly narrower stick (301mm vs 306mm).
      Hope this helps!

    1. Hi Andrew, CAT 302/7 has 35mm pins and I am not 100% certain but I think the KX030 is on 40mm pins. Not completely sure but I don’t think your CAT attachments will go on the Kubota.
      Thanks!

  1. I have a Komatsu PC28UU-2. I’m having trouble finding an exact match, but it seems like CAT 302 is very close. The pin spacing is a little bit smaller, can anyone comment on how this would affect usage? Thanks!

    1. Hi Everett,
PC28UU should have 35mm pins with 138mm stick width and 200mm centers.
      I hope this helps!

  3. Hi Logan,
I don’t have an exact match for the Hitachi 750, I just have 650 and 850 but I am not sure which one that 750 might match.
    ZX650 – 120mm front pin 130mm rear pin – 525mm stick width & 700mm centers
    ZX850 – 130mm front pin 140mm rear pin – 555mm stick width & 697mm centers
    I hope this helps!

    1. Hi Troy,
CAT 314 Dimensions: 65mm pins, 222mm stick width, 407mm centers
Sany SY135 Dimensions: 65mm pins, 260mm stick width, 385mm centers

So any 314 buckets or attachments that you might have will likely be too narrow to go on the stick of an SY135.

  4. Hi- Wondering why your Excavator Bucket Pin Size chart doesn’t include a John Deere 135. Can you tell me if a 135 maybe takes the same size buckets as a 120? or a 160?

    1. Hi Michael,
John Deere 135 is the same as the 120. If you hover over the box that says “120C” it lists all of the machines with the same pin dimensions.
      Hope that helps!

  7. Hello I’m having a heck of a time trying to locate a grapple, thumb or anything for that matter for my 1984 John Deere 690B I was wondering if your database has the measurements of what that machine accepts I understand it’s old but it’s a low hour machine and runs like a top! Thanks again!

  8. Hello i am struggling to find the pin mount dimensions for a Doosan/Develon DX50. Is this something that you would be able to assist with?

    1. Hi Wayne,
Sorry for the delay in responding!
Yes it should be fine – the only main difference is the pin centers: CX210 = 451mm & JD690 = 472mm centers which doesn’t matter too much if you are pinning the bucket on the machine.
      Hope this helps!

  9. What are the linkage measurements of. Komatsu 360-10? I am trying to figure out how to change the measurements on my stump attachment to fit a cat 336

    1. Hi Luke,
Apologies for the delay in responding!
PC360 should be 90mm pins, 346mm stick width and 513.6mm centers. Hope that helps!

  10. Hi. I’m trying to figure out what size pins are used on my Komatsu pc75uu-2 excavator. I would like to shim the bucket with the two piece shims that don’t require removing the pin. I’d like to shim both pins and have no clue if there 50 mm 60mm or what. Once I know the pin size diameter do I order the same size inside diameter of the shims?

    1. Hi Tony,
PC75 should have 50mm pins. Just make sure your shims are at least 50mm – probably 52-53mm to give you enough clearance.
      Hope this helps!

  11. I have an older mustang 960 skid steer with a backhoe attachment. I’m looking for a narrow wrenching bucket, problem is the pin center. How much difference can I get away with and what happens if you have a shorter pin center number? Thanks
