Description

Chain Tensioner for MT Trenchers by Auger Torque

We now offer the full range of parts for sale through our website, for all of our attachments. Never get caught short without spare parts again. If you are looking for something that is not listed online please give us a call or email.

The chain tensioner is a mechanical piece that keeps the chain tight to ensure that you get maximum efficiency from your trencher.

The tensioner can be replaced by removing the chain and a couple large bolts that hold the tensioner in place. Tightening the tensioner extends the boom and takes the slack out of the chain.

Q & A

I'm having a little bit of difficulty as to which side the amount on. I didn't know if you had a graphic you could send to me? John Willis asked on July 15, 2022

Hi John,

I will send an image over to your email. The two short bolts stick out of the auger side of the boom. While the long bolt used to tighten the tensioner runs parallel to the boom on the motor side of the trencher. Hope this makes sense!
